PVP K grades are synthesized through the free radical polymerization of vinylpyrrolidone monomers in water. This process, which does not involve crosslinking, results in a linear, water-soluble polymer. The molecular weight of PVP K can be adjusted during synthesis, affecting the viscosity and solubility of the final product. Various grades are offered based on these molecular weights, making SSP’s PVP K range versatile for a number of applications. The higher the K value, the higher the viscosity. Tailored production possible upon request.
