PVPP is a crosslinked form of PVP, resulting in a porous, insoluble polymer with a high surface area. This structure is ideal for adsorption and stabilization, particularly in beverage filtration. PVPP’s excellent and rapid swelling properties also make it a preferred superdisintegrant in solid dosage forms such as tablets.
